It's Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year, it's time to take action.
Hello!
Every May, Mental Health Awareness Week gives us all a chance to stop and ask: how are we really doing?
This year's theme from the Mental Health Foundation is Take Action, because while talking about mental health matters, real change only happens when we actually do something about it.
That's something we've believed at Office Vitality for a long time. Since 2011, we've been helping London businesses look after their people through corporate massage, online mindfulness and workplace wellbeing sessions, and we've seen first-hand what shifts when a company moves from good intentions to genuine action.
So if you've been meaning to do something for your team's wellbeing, this is your week.
Why it matters right now
Around one in five UK adults lives with a common mental health condition. In the workplace, that shows up as stress, low energy, higher absence, and people quietly struggling while the rest of the to-do list gets prioritised.
You don't need a huge programme or a big budget to make a difference. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is give your team an hour to decompress, to reset, to feel like the company actually cares.
Here's how we can help
On-site corporate massage
A massage is one of those things that works immediately and visibly. Our therapists come to your office and deliver chair massage sessions that ease physical tension, lower stress hormones and give your people a proper mental reset in the middle of their working day. Teams consistently tell us it's one of the best things their company has ever laid on for them. It's tangible, it's appreciated, and it sends a clear message: we see you.
Online mindfulness sessions
Our virtual mindfulness sessions are a simple, flexible way to support mental health across your whole team, wherever they happen to be working. No travel, no faff, just a genuinely useful session that gives people practical tools for managing stress and staying grounded. Evidence-backed and designed to feel relevant rather than generic.
Wellbeing workshops in your office or online
Want to go a bit deeper? Our workshops are available both in-person at your office and virtually, so however your team is set up, we can make it work. They're a great way to give people dedicated time to explore topics like stress management, building resilience or understanding their own mental health better, and a meaningful way to mark Mental Health Awareness Week with something people will actually remember and take away with them.
What will your one action be?
The Mental Health Foundation is asking everyone to choose one positive action for that week. If you're an employer, this is a brilliant opportunity to make that action count for your whole team.
Whether you want to book a massage day, explore ongoing wellbeing support, or just have a conversation about what might work for your company, we'd love to hear from you. No hard sell, just an honest chat.
